ENFIELD, CT — Investigators Wednesday were still looking into a Monday crash involving a motorcycle and sport utility vehicle, but it seems the rider of the bike was not as seriously hurt as initially feared, police said.

Police said the 19-year-old Enfield man could be released from an area hospital as early as Wednesday.

The crash took place at about 7:40 p.m. on Route 190 (known locally as Hazard Avenue) at the intersection of Route 192 (known locally as North Maple Street), police said.

According to a preliminary crash report, a 2023 Chevrolet Tahoe being driven by a 40-year-old Longmeadow, MA, man collided with a 2016 Harley-Davidson being operated by a 19-year old Enfield man.

The driver of the bike was transported to Baystate Medical Center, according to the crash report.
