Police Respond To Bomb Threat At Enfield Square Mall
Police responded to a bomb threat at the Enfield Square mall Friday.

ENFIELD, CT — A bomb threat was called into the Enfield Square mall late Friday morning, police said.
The call came in just before 11 a.m., police said.
Police initially closed off entrances to the mall parking lot and then concentrated on investigating the mall itself, authorities said.

Enfield Police Chief Alaric Fox said the bomb threat was received at the Game Stop store inside the mall.
He added, "There is no specific concern as to this threat, as opposed to other 'typical' threats."

The mall was evacuated and a sweep of the building took place as a precaution, Fox said. Everything was back to normal by early afternoon, he said.
