Portion Of Busy Road In Enfield Reduced To One Lane Following Crash

A segment of Shaker Road is expected to be down to a single lane for a significant portion of Thursday afternoon after a late-morning crash.

ENFIELD, CT — Westbound traffic on a segment of Shaker Road has been reduced to one lane following a crash involving a car and a utility pole, according to police.

The crash occurred at 10:48 a.m. The operator of the car which crashed was taken to an area hospital with minor injuries, Lt. Bryan Nolan said.

Traffic is down to one lane from North Maple Street and Washington Road, and is expected to remain so for several hours, Nolan said.

Residents were informed of the closure via the town's Everbridge notification system.
