16 new businesses registered in East Hampton & Portland in August, including a full-service restaurant and a quick-service restaurant.
PORTLAND, CT — East Hampton and Portland together saw 16 new business registrations in August, according to the Connecticut Business Registry — 10 in East Hampton and six in Portland. The filings ranged across quick-service restaurants and cafes, independent artists and performers and real estate and holding companies.
Among the new arrivals were HC Legacy Holding of Portland, a full-service restaurant, AMELA of Portland, a quick-service restaurant and Lira Studio of East Hampton, a design studio. All 16 organized as limited liability companies.
Registering with the state doesn't necessarily mean a business has opened its doors — the paperwork can come well before or after a launch. The full list for every town in the beat, with cities, addresses and business categories, is below.
