Robert A. Bonfiglio, 74; Navy Veteran; Asea Brown Boveri Retiree

Robert A. Bonfiglio, 74, beloved husband of Stella (Bellerose) Bonfiglio, of Enfield, died Thursday, Aug. 7, 2014 at the JFK Medical Center, Atlantis, FL.
Born in Hartford on Nov. 20, 1939, a son of the late Joseph and Conchetta (Mannino) Bonfiglio.

He lived in Enfield for the past 40 years and wintered in Palm Springs, FL.
Robert served in the U.S. Navy and before retiring in 1999, he was employed by ABB Asea Brown Boveri, Windsor. He was a communicant of St. Martha Church, Enfield. He was a member of Mount Carmel Society.

He enjoyed golf, dancing; especially tap dancing, family yearly reunion, a fan of the St. Louis Cardinal’s and was a “hockey father” with his son.
In addition to his wife of 41 years, Stella, he leaves their children, Denise M. Silva and her husband, Brett of Enfield and Joseph J. Bonfiglio and his wife, Sandra of Glastonbury; a sister, Rosemarie LaVoye of Enfield; five adoring grandchildren, Rachael, Marisa, Nicholas, Kaitlyn and Alexander and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Paul Bonfiglio.
Family and friends may gather, Thursday, Aug. 14 at 9 a.m. at Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels, 61 South Road, Enfield, followed by Mass Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. Martha Church. Burial with military honors will follow at Mount St. Benedict Cemetery, Bloomfield. His family will receive friends on Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m., at the funeral home.
