Rotary Club of Enfield Honors Four Individuals with Paul Harris Award

The event will be held at Grassmere Country Club on June 15th.

The Rotary Club of Enfield will be honoring incoming Rotary President Julie Cotnoir, Past Rotary President Cynthia Mangini, community members Connie Provencher, and Donald Tenerowicz on June 15th with the Paul Harris Award. The Paul Harris Fellows Recognition is given to individuals who meet the high professional and personal standards set forth by Paul Harris himself (founder in 1905 of Rotary International). The Rotary Club of Enfield has made a $1,000 donation in honor of each recipient to the Rotary International Foundation.

Rotary established the recognition in 1957 to encourage and show appreciation for substantial contributions to what was then the Foundation’s only program, Rotary Foundation Fellowships for Advanced Study, the precursor to Ambassadorial Scholarships.

Mother Teresa, entertainer Pearl Bailey, U.S. President Jimmy Carter, Russian President Boris Yeltsin, U.S. astronaut James Lovell, UN Secretary-General Javier Perez de Cuellar, and polio vaccine developer Jonas Salk are all Paul Harris recipients.
