Ruptured Main Causes Gas Leak In Enfield
The rupture caused a substantial leak, which was isolated and secured without incident, according to a fire official.

ENFIELD, CT — Firefighters from Thompsonville, assisted by North Thompsonville, worked quickly to secure a gas leak near an elderly housing complex Monday morning.
Firefighters responded to Windsor Court shortly before 9:30 a.m. upon a report of a ruptured gas main accidentally caused by construction workers. The rupture caused a substantial leak, which was isolated and secured without incident, Thompsonville Fire Chief David Deskis said.
Residents were asked to shelter in place while the incident was mitigated, Deskis said.
