Seafood Shop In Enfield Closing Briefly 'Out of Extreme Caution'
Cold Harbor Seafood will be closed this week to allow staffers to be tested after close contact with a person diagnosed with coronavirus.

ENFIELD, CT — A popular seafood market will be closed for the next week "out of extreme caution," after being in close contact with a person who has tested positive for coronavirus.
Cold Harbor Seafood & Market on Taylor Rd. posted the announcement of its temporary closure Sunday night on its Facebook page, stating its entire staff will be tested.
Since the onset of the coronavirus pandemic in mid-March, Cold Harbor has been among the most vigilant businesses in the area regarding safety for its customers and employees. In a story first reported by Enfield Patch which later went statewide, owner Joe Lanzieri publicly criticized customers who refused to use hand sanitizer upon arrival at the market, and harassed staff members about it.

Lately, many people have stormed off refusing to use hand sanitizer. Also, people are feeling offended for us asking them if they are working in environments that coronavirus is present or has been present and argue with us for the measures we are taking to keep everyone healthy, including ourselves.
I'm asking that the next time you come to my market, take a look around and realize that all the staff at Cold Harbor is actually risking getting infected to serve you.
So today, we are sadly going to say goodbye to some of our customers that have supported us thru the good times, but are giving us nothing but grief during this unprecedented virus attack on our friends and family.
