ENFIELD, CT — A serious crash involving a pair of vehicles has closed segments of North Street and Taylor Road Friday afternoon.

The crash took place shortly after 4:30 p.m., and involved a silver Dodge pickup truck and a Honda CR-V. The impact knocked the Honda off the road and into a utility pole, shearing it and the vehicle.

Wires attached to the pole were brought down, prompting Eversource Energy to cut power to the area, Hazardville Fire Department Chief Jack Flanagan said.
