Sexual Assault Charges Filed Against Enfield Men

A pair of warrants were executed on the men between Tuesday and Thursday, police said.

ENFIELD, CT — A pair of warrants executed Tuesday and Thursday have resulted in sexual assault charges being filed against two Enfield men.

On Thursday, Samuel Figueroa, 25, of 11 D'Annunzio Ave., was charged with second-degree sexual assault, fourth-degree sexual assault of a victim between ages 13 and 14, risk of injury to a child and illegal sexual contact with a victim under age 16.

Modesto Ortiz, 72, of the same address, was charged Tuesday with risk of injury to a child, illegal sexual contact with a victim under age 16 and fourth-degree sexual assault.

Bond for each man was set at $100,000.

Police Chief Alaric Fox said the warrant supporting Figueroa and Ortiz's arrests is sealed, therefore very little information could be made public. He did say the victim was "an underage party," and that he felt there is "no generalized concern for public safety."
