ENFIELD, CT — Enfield detectives are investigating an incident Monday night in which a gunshot was fired from a vehicle and struck the window of a door of a business near Pearl and Walnut streets.

Police Chief Alaric Fox said a vehicle with two occupants approached two parties who were on bicycles. Following a verbal exchange, the vehicle pulled away, then circled back, and the passenger fired one round toward one of the parties on bikes, with the round striking the window.

According to police logs, the incident was reported at 8:46 p.m.

The case is assigned to the detective bureau and is ongoing, Fox said.
