Son of Enfield Town Councilor Passes Away

The son of councilor Tom Arnone was just 24 years old.

ENFIELD, CT — The Enfield Democratic Town Committee has issued the following statement on behalf of Town Councilor and District 58 State Representative candidate Tom Arnone and his family, following the passing earlier this week of his 24-year-old son, Tommy:

On Monday, September 10, Tom and Janice Arnone lost their son Tommy, whose heart gave out. Services will be private in their time of mourning.
“As a mother, my heart breaks for Tom and Janice during this personal tragedy. No parent should have to suffer the loss of a child, and our deepest sympathies go out to them and their children. We lost a wonderful member of the Enfield community this week,” said Liz Davis, chair of the Enfield Democratic Town Committee.
In the coming weeks, Tom will be taking time to mourn with his family.
The members of the Democratic Town Committee offer their deepest sympathies and prayers.

Bob Cressotti, chair of Arnone’s election committee, offered his own words of sympathy.

“I cannot imagine the pain they feel right now. We were all blessed by Tommy’s compassion, and in the coming months I hope we can arrange for a fitting public memorial. For now, I ask that the Enfield community respect the Arnone family’s privacy in this time of personal mourning. Several months ago their son received a heart valve replacement, and this tragedy has shaken us all. Tom and Janice have been model parents, and Tommy was fortunate to live in the warm embrace of their love.”
