ENFIELD, CT — A domestic dispute Friday night between a couple involved in a year-long relationship ended with one person suffering stab wounds in the back and the other facing felony charges and a six-figure bond.

Around 8:57 p.m., police received a 911 call from the Motel 6 on Hazard Avenue, stating a person in the lobby had been stabbed. The 24-year-old victim was taken to an area hospital and reported to be in stable condition with non-life-threatening injuries, according to police.

Investigation revealed the victim had been involved in an argument in the motel parking lot, which escalated into a struggle which culminated in the stabbing. The suspect left the motel in a red Kia Sportage bearing Massachusetts plates, police said.
