Superheroes Sought At Free Comic Book Day Event in Enfield
Matt's Cards & Comics is seeking donated canned goods for those in need — and they will have free comic books for those who help.

ENFIELD — A local comic book store is celebrating its art form by asking folks to become superheroes themselves and donate to help feed those in need.
Matt's Cards & Comics, located on 348 Hazard Ave., is celebrating National Free Comic Book Day Saturday, May 7, by asking folks to stop by and donate a canned food item for those needing some assistance.
"The food will go to those in need so please step up and lend a hand. We're offering, discounts, free comics, prizes and free sketches. All we ask in return is a can of food or two. The first book is free and you will get an additional book for each canned item donated," reads a post on the event website, https://www.freecomicbookday.com/StoreEvents.
