Suspect in Enfield Murder Pleads Guilty
The plea bargain agreement reportedly involves the suspect receiving a jail sentence of 25 to 30 years.

One of the four suspects arrested for the murder of an 18-year-old Enfield man has accepted a plea agreement that will send him to jail for 25 to 30 years.
Katwon Goodwin, who was 17 when Jonathan Torres was fatally shot Sept. 3 on the front porch of his Thompsonsville home, pleaded guilty to felony murder Tuesday, according to The Courant. IFor his plea, Goodwin will receive a sentence of 25 to 30 years in prison, rather than the 60 that he might have faced had the case gone to trial.

The three remaining suspects — Robert L. Stevenson, Takai Brown and Cheyenne Concepcion also have been offered the deal, according to the report. The quartet was charged with felony murder, first-degree robbery, second-degree larceny, theft of a firearm and conspiracy.
