SUV Vs. Pole Crash In Enfield Leaves One In Serious Condition
One person was hospitalized in serious condition following a crash Sunday night on Route 5, according to police.
ENFIELD, CT — A passenger in a sport utility vehicle which struck a utility pole on Route 5 Sunday night had to extricated from the SUV and was taken to a hospital in serious condition, according to police.
The crash took place shortly after 6:30 p.m. near the junction of Green Valley Drive. Traffic on Enfield Street was diverted as emergency personnel, including members of the Metro Traffic Services team, worked at the scene, Police Chief Alaric Fox said.
