ENFIELD, CT — A forecast of possible snow has prompted a parking ban to be put into effect in Enfield Wednesday.

The temporary ban went into effect at 8 a.m. Wednesday, and originally was slated to last 12 hours through 8 p.m. However, early Wednesday afternoon, the ban time was reduced, ending at 5 p.m.

All vehicles are to be removed from street parking, or are subject to being towed at the owner's expense, according to a notification from the town.

The latest forecast from the National Weather Service calls for a chance of snow before 3 p.m., then snow likely, possibly mixed with rain between 3 and 4 p.m., then snow after 4 p.m. High temperature is expected to be near 36 degrees. Rain, possibly mixed with snow, will become all rain after 9 p.m.
