Hints Added to Enfield Business Puzzle Contest

ENFIELD, CT — A week after our initial Enfield business puzzle contest, no one has yet identified all 12 signs in the collage and won a Patch prize pack. Some people got most correct, most people got some correct, but as of Wednesday morning, a winner remains elusive. Therefore, we are adding some hints for each letter.

Below is a collage of our name, Enfield Patch, comprised of letters from the signs of 12 different local businesses. The first person to identify all 12 in an email to tim.jensen@patch.com will be declared the winner, and will receive the prize pack, which I guarantee consists of at least a buck and a half worth of stuff. Answers given on social media will not be counted, and in fact may be discarded.

Here are the original guidelines:

• Only local businesses are included (no chains like Burger King or Bank of America)
• The letter used is not necessarily the first letter of the business name
• Letters come from the main portion of the business name (example: if we used the Ringside Restaurant - a nice throwback name from the past - we would only use a letter from the word Ringside, not from Restaurant)

E - Think grapes.
N - Bathing your beauties.
F - Salt _____.
I - Tiptoe around this one.
E - A very "warm" family.
L - Across from (not) a giant dog.
D - REM in a flower bed.
P - Scrumptious alliteration.
A - Must be first in the phone book (phone book?? What is this, 1998?)
T - 45 years on the former main drag.
C - A place where most occupants of the building next door are not allowed.
H - Sanitize those hands or go hungry.
