Throwback Thursday: Do You Remember...?
An old advertisement and story of a business from Enfield's past.

ENFIELD, CT — In this weekly series, Enfield Patch remembers a business or landmark that is no longer in town through publication of old advertisements from some 1960s-1990s Enfield and Fermi high school yearbooks and early-1960s to mid-1980s telephone directories and newspapers.
Today we check out the 1984 Enfield High School yearbook, and an ad from the long-gone Building 451 on Route 5.
A precursor to the influx of discount stores in town, the chain offered housewares, giftware, hardware, candy, greeting cards and other merchandise at prices considerably less than normal. The business folded in 1989.
