Turkey Drive

Rich’s Plumbing, Heating & Air Conditioning in Enfield will host their Annual Turkey Drive on Saturday, November 21.

Enfield Food Shelf Executive Director, Kathleen Souvigney commented “Everyone at Enfield Food Shelf is so grateful that even in these extraordinary times, our community partners, like Rich’s Oil, are continuing with the long traditions of supporting those in need of food assistance in our community. We are so thankful for all of their efforts!”

Anyone wishing to donate can bring their items to Rich’s Oil, 12 Moody Road in Enfield on November 21 from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. To ensure everyone’s safety, an area will be set-up to leave items, as well as Rich’s staff being on hand to remove items from trunks. A $25 thank you coupon will be given to everyone who brings their donation on November 21.

In addition, a “Turkey Box” will be set-up outside of Rich’s throughout the week for those not able to attend on November 21. Monetary donations are also welcome and can be left in the Rich’s mail slot. Checks should be made payable to Enfield Food Shelf.

The Rich’s Turkey Drive, in its 13th year, has donated over 1,200 turkeys. Rich Tkacz, owner of Rich’s, commented, “The Turkey Drive is something my staff and I have always been passionate about. In these trying times we are even more committed to doing our part to help the community and very grateful to everyone who comes out to support us in our efforts.”

The Enfield Food Shelf suggests turkeys that are 12 to 15 pounds and non-perishable items are much needed.
