UJIMA AFRICAN AMERICAN ALLIANCE RECEIVES $1500.00 GRANT
FROM EVERSOURCE ENGERY
Enfield, CT, May 30, 2023 – The Ujima African Alliance received a grant in the amount of $1500.00. from the Eversource varying charitable funding opportunities. This funding will help support Ujima’s second annual celebration of the Juneteenth Festival on June 17th 2023 and our mission of educating, inspiring the African American Community and to help build a more inclusive community in Enfield CT.
“We are grateful to Eversource Energy for this generous show of support of our mission.,” said Rosalind Swift. “This grant will help us to continue to build bridges, trust and a sense of community for everyone in our community and especially for the African American. People need connection now more than ever before.” We are committed to our mission to educate, inspire, impact and encourage Enfield’s African American community and help strengthen the inclusion and sense of community in our town as a whole.
