Victim Identified in Fatal Highway Crash in Enfield
A Jeep Wrangler plummeted 20 to 30 feet off I-91 to a roadway below, according to state police.

ENFIELD, CT — State police have released the identities of the persons involved in a fatal crash Monday afternoon off Interstate 91 in Enfield.
According to a police report, a 2000 Jeep Wrangler operated by John Gallucci, 32, of Windsor, was traveling in the left lane on the northbound side of the highway at 1:59 p.m. The vehicle, for unknown reasons, veered to the right across all three lanes and struck the barrier on the right shoulder, vaulting off a highway bridge and landing on Oliver Road, about 20 to 30 feet below.
A passenger in the vehicle, Marie Parks, 22, of Springfield, Mass., was transported to Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, where she succumbed to her injuries, police said.

Gallucci was transported to St. Francis Hospital in Hartford with what police described as "moderate injuries."
An investigation into the crash is ongoing, and anyone with information is asked to contact Trooper Christopher Valente at 860-534-1000.
