VIDEO: It's a Dog's Race in Enfield -- Meet the Canine Candidates
Just who will be elected 'mayor' of the Enfield Dog Park?
There’s a different sort of political race happening in Enfield that’s gone to the dogs — literally.
The folks at the Enfield Dog Park have organized a ‘mayoral race’ to determine who’s going to be the top dog in town for the next year.
There haven’t been any bones of contention among the 19 candidates in the canine contest. And there is a video highlighting each candidate that was compiled by dog park President Karen Ward and posted on You Tube and the park’s Facebook page, accompanied by Lady Gaga performing ‘The Edge of Glory.’ (The video can be viewed below.)

The title of Dog Park Mayor will be announced at the park’s annual 8th annual Puppy Pride Fun Day to be held Saturday, June 6 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Moose Lodge 124 South Rd. The canine’s human handler will receive a reserved parking space at the one-acre park that opened four years ago.
Along with a variety of vendors, there will be rescue groups, raffles, merchandise for sale and plenty of canine contests on Puppy Pride Day.
