What Enfield Parents Need To Know Before Kindergarten Starts
Parents and caregivers of incoming kindergarten students are invited to attend the one-hour session at JFK Middle School.
ENFIELD, CT — Enfield KITE and Enfield Public Schools are inviting parents and caregivers of incoming kindergarten students to a Kindergarten Information Night on Tuesday, April 7.
The event will run from 6 to 7 p.m. at John F. Kennedy Middle School and is intended to help families prepare for the transition to kindergarten.
Organizers said attendees will receive a Kindergarten Toolkit with information on registration, health requirements, school schedules, a planning calendar, library resources and tips for a smooth start to the school year.

The evening will begin with a presentation featuring district leadership, including the superintendent, school principals, the special education coordinator and the health director.
After that, families will be able to attend breakout sessions by school and speak directly with their child’s future principal.

Information tables from local PTOs, before- and after-school care providers and other community resources will also be available during the event.
Officials said the event is intended for parents and caregivers, and only one parent or caregiver needs to attend.
Childcare will not be provided. Families who need to bring a child are asked to make sure children remain seated quietly during the presentation.
