Wreaths Across America Convoy to Stop in Enfield

The drivers will attend a program at Parkman School before heading on to their eventual destination at Arlington National Cemetery.

ENFIELD, CT — Part of the annual Wreaths Across America caravan carrying thousands of wreaths from Maine to Arlington National Cemetery will once again be making a brief stopover in Enfield this year.

The lone Connecticut stop for the delivery convoy carrying wreaths from the Worcester Wreath Company in Harrington, Maine will be in Enfield on Wednesday, Dec. 14. The drivers will immediately hit the road for Pennsylvania following their brief stop in town, where they will eventually meet up with all the other delivery vehicles and the Worcester family and head into Arlington National Cemetery with their wreaths in time for the annual Wreaths Across America ceremonies on Saturday, Dec. 17.

Beginning at 9: 10 a.m., these trucks, escorted by Connecticut State Police, Enfield police, Enfield fire, Enfield EMS and a few other friends will begin their descent down Enfield Street/Route 5 at the exit 49 area of Interstate 91, turning left onto South Road, right onto Raffia/Simon Road, and right onto Weymouth Road, where they will be hosted at Parkman Elementary School at 9:30 a.m. Following an hour-long program, they will head up Weymouth Road to pick up I-91 southbound and head to Pennsylvania.
