Essex Elementary School Has Covid-19 Positive Case

ESSEX, CT — Thursday, January 7, Essex Elementary School (EES) was informed that there is a positive student COVID-19 case, which impacted the school. According to a letter sent out by EES, "The last date the student attended EES was January 4, 2021. The student did not ride a school bus, nor participate in any afterschool clubs or activities.

This case impacts 9 students and 5 staff members at Essex Elementary School. The administration has notified families of students who had verified close contact with the known positive case. All individuals who had close contact with the known case will be contacted by local health departments."
