The 43,000+ daffodils waiting to blossom across Essex, Centerbrook, and Ivoryton villages invite you to celebrate Spring!
The 43,000+ daffodils waiting to blossom across Essex, Centerbrook, and Ivoryton villages invite you to celebrate Spring! The third annual “Daffodil Days” start in late March and run through late April.
Make Essex your “daffodil destination!” with a day trip or weekend to enjoy this natural event, as well as our villages, shops, restaurants, galleries, architecture, and waterfront. Celebrate with our merchants along “Daffodil Way”! You’ll find businesses and residences with decorated windows, planters and doors with everything daffodil!
While officially Daffodil Days runs from March 25 through April 23, Mother Nature (not people) oversees when daffodils bloom. Follow Essex Board of Trade’s Instagram account, @experienceessex, to track the daffodils from when they peek out the ground until full force bloom.

“Daffodils symbolize rebirth and new beginnings. To me, they announce spring and signify the end of winter,” says Essex Board of Trade President Julia Hutchinson adding, “There’s no better icon to launch ExperienceEssex 2023.”
