Essex Steam Train's North Pole Express Ticket Sales Now Open
Full-car tickets are available now for the popular holiday-themed ride, with individual tickets opening soon.
ESSEX, CT — Tickets for Essex Steam Train's popular North Pole Express ride are now on sale for the 2026 holiday season.
Full car ticket sales began Monday. Individual tickets will be available starting Wednesday at 9 a.m.
"Board our locomotive-powered sleigh for a magical nighttime journey to the North Pole," the website reads. "Celebrate the spirit of the season with Santa and Mrs. Claus, festive sing-a-longs, hot chocolate and sugar cookies.

"Each child will receive a small gift from Santa. Children are invited to wear their favorite pajamas! Make sure those PJs are warm and cozy…it’s cold up at the North Pole!"
All ticket sales will be online.

The train will run on the following dates: Nov. 20 to 22; Nov. 27 to 29; Dec. 1 to 20; and Dec. 22-23.
Each trip takes about 90 minutes. Tickets start at $60.
