Person Seriously Injured In Second-Story Fall In Chester: Police
OSHA has launched an investigation into the incident.
CHESTER, CT — An individual was seriously injured in a fall from a second story on Winthrop Road in Chester on Monday, according to state police.
Troopers from Troop F responded to the scene around 9:20 a.m. Life Star helicopter was requested to transport the victim to an area hospital, state police said.
The victim’s condition as of Tuesday was not immediately available, and police did not provide additional details.

The incident happened at 51 Winthrop Rd., which is the address for manufacturing company Whelen Engineering.
The U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration, or OSHA, has opened an investigation into the incident, according to Eric R. Lucero, east regional director of the Office of Public Affairs for the U.S. Department of Labor.

OSHA has six months to complete its investigation, according to Lucero, who declined to provide additional information.
