Region 4 School District Announces New Finance Director

Robert Grissom is will be the new Region 4 Finance Director.

ESSEX, CHESTER, DEEP RIVER, CT — As the new year approaches, and budget talks get underway, the Region 4 School District is happy to announce that Mr. Robert Grissom will be the new Region 4 Finance Director.

The Supervision District Board of Education unanimously approved the appointment of Grissom at its December meeting and he will officially start his new position on January 18, 2021.

According to a press release put out by the Region 4 School district, Grissom has a Master of Accounting from Tulane University and a Master of Business Administration from Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. He has most recently served as Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis for Pratt Whitney.

Brian J. White, Superintendent of Schools, stated, “Mr. Grissom’s credentials and experience will be of great benefit to our central office, schools and the community as he leads our finance office and oversees our budgets, processes and the complex financial needs of our system.”

Former Region 4 Finance Director, Kelly Sterner, was appointed to the position in April of 2020 and announced in October that she was resigning from the position.
