EAST LYME, CT — A 78-year-old man has died after being found unresponsive in the water on Sunday afternoon, according to media reports including WFSB 3 TV.

Lifeguards deployed life-saving measures, WFSB 3 TV reported.

The incident was reported around 1 p.m. at Rocky Neck State Park, and the man was taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead, WTNH News 8 reported.

The identity of the deceased has not yet been released. No other details have been released.
