10 Fairfield Ludlowe & Warde Students Receive Honors For Artwork

FAIRFIELD, CT — High School Art students from Fairfield Public Schools were recognized as Connecticut Regional Scholastic Art Award winners for their exceptional work in photography, painting, drawing, sculpture and digital art. Over 300,000 entries from students in the United States and Canada were submitted to the juried competition. The artwork selected is considered the best in the state. The chosen Scholastic Art Award pieces will be showcased January 16-February 2 in the Silpe
Gallery located at the University of Hartford. An awards ceremony and reception will be held
at the Lincoln Theater at the University of Hartford on Sunday, January 28 at 2pm. Select
Gold Key award winners from each national region will have their art work reviewed by an
esteemed panel of judges. National winners will be announced in the spring.

The Scholastic Art & Writing Awards are presented by the Alliance for Young Artists & Writers.
The Alliance is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization whose mission is to identify students with
exceptional artistic and literary talent and present their remarkable work to the world
through the Scholastic Art & Writing Awards. The Awards give students opportunities for
recognition, exhibition, publication and scholarships.
