13 Fairfield Restaurants Named Among Best In Connecticut

FAIRFIELD, CT — Thirteen Fairfield restaurants and bars were named among the best in the state when Connecticut Magazine recently announced the winners of its Best Restaurants Awards for 2022.

The accolades showcase the results of the magazine’s annual Readers’ Choice survey as well as recommendations from local experts.

Mama Chow was named the best Vietnamese restaurant in the state as well as in Fairfield County, while Mecha Noodle Bar, which has five locations including one in Fairfield, and Pho Nha Trang were highlighted as expert picks.

Barcelona Wine Bar, which has four restaurants across the state in addition to its Fairfield location, won best Spanish or Portuguese food in Connecticut and in Fairfield County.

Little Pub received more honors than any other Fairfield restaurant, including state runner-up for best family dining, best family dining in Fairfield County, state runner-up for beer selection, best beer selection in Fairfield County, best traditional American food in Fairfield County and best lunch in Fairfield County. Little Pub has five restaurants in Connecticut, including in Fairfield. Craft 260 was named an expert pick for beer selection.

Ginkgo Sichuan Cuisine won state runner-up for best Chinese food, and Shu, of Fairfield and West Hartford, was an expert pick in that category, as well as in the cateory of overall value.

Catch a Healthy Habit won best vegetarian or vegan food in Fairfield County and The Tasty Yolk, which has two Fairfield locations as well as restaurants in Bridgeport and Stratford, won best breakfast in the county.

Other local expert picks included Tequila Revolucion for best Mexican food, Aurora’s for best Mediterranean or Greek food, and Layla’s, which has three Fairfield County locations, for best Middle Eastern food.
