2 Drivers Taken To Hospitals After Merritt Parkway Crash

The drivers were taken by ambulance to nearby hospitals for minor injuries, according to the Fairfield Fire Department.

FAIRFIELD, CT — Two drivers were taken to hospitals after a crash Tuesday afternoon in Fairfield.

The incident occurred before 2 p.m. on the southbound Merritt Parkway near Black Rock Turnpike, according to a Facebook post from the Fairfield Fire Department. Both drivers were able to exit their vehicles but were transported via ambulance to nearby hospitals for minor injuries.

"Assistant Chief Erik Kalapir would like to thank all of our travelers that slowed and provided us a safe workspace on the limited access highway," the fire department said.
