2 Dumping Convictions Dropped For Ex-Fairfield DPW Executive: Report
Scott Bartlett was convicted in May in connection with the Fairfield fill pile case.

FAIRFIELD, CT — Two of eight convictions against Fairfield's former public works superintendent Scott Bartlett have been dropped in the Fairfield fill pile case, after a Superior Court judge ruled that there was not enough evidence for the two charges, the Connecticut Post reported.
The two convictions cleared by Judge Tracy Lee Dayton had to do with illegal solid waste disposal on specific days; Dayton reportedly said during a hearing Wednesday that she did not see evidence to support those convictions.
Bartlett still faces the potential of more than a decade in prison when sentenced on July 24 in connection with the six related charges for which he was convicted.

Brian Carey, one of the defendants, was found not guilty in May of some of the charges, but still faces another trial this summer with the others.
