2 Fairfield Businesses Burglarized: Police

The doors of both businesses were smashed, police said, noting that a Fairfield residence was also recently burglarized.

FAIRFIELD, CT — Two businesses and a residence were recently burglarized in Fairfield, according to police.

The owner of Star Towing, 350 Jennings Road, discovered about 5 a.m. Jan. 27 that a rock had been thrown through the front door of the business, police said.

About 7:30 a.m. Jan. 29, a broken glass door and damage to the register area was reported at Gulf Express and Swift Mart, 714 Brooklawn Ave., according to police, who said cigarettes were stolen.

A home in the 100 block of Bronson Road was entered between 11 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. Feb. 1 through an unlocked back door and multiple items, including jewelry, were taken, police said.
