$20,000 Winning CT Scratch-Off Lottery Ticket Sold In Fairfield

A local resident is also the lucky winner, according to the Connecticut Lottery.

FAIRFIELD, CT — A Fairfield resident is $20,000 richer this month after claiming a winning lottery ticket he purchased locally, the Connecticut Lottery announced.

On June 5, Herman B. claimed a winning "20X Cash 8th Edition" ticket he bought at Fairfield Store 115 (in the Shell gas station) on Black Rock Turnpike in Fairfield.

The Connecticut Lottery publishes partial winner information as public record, according to officials.

The game, which costs $20 per ticket, began in June 2022, and as of Thursday, 43 grand prizes of $20,000 remained unclaimed.

More than 2.8 million game tickets have been printed, and the overall odds of winning are 1 in 4.08.
