4 Fairfield Teachers Injured in 10-Year-Old Student's Outburst

Police were called to Dwight School Wednesday afternoon.

FAIRFIELD, CT - Four teachers at Fairfield's Dwight School suffered minor injuries Wednesday afternoon after an out-of-control 10-year-old student began throwing tables and chairs in a classroom, according to police.

The Fairfield Citizen reports that no students were injured in the melee.

Police were called to the elementary school at about 1 p.m. on a report that a student was displaying behavioral issues, reports Fox61 News.

The student's parents were called to the scene, and he was released to their custody.

One of the teachers was treated at St. Vincent's Hospital, and another was treated by their private physician. The other two did not require medical treatment, according to NBC Connecticut News.
