400 Gallons Of Cooking Oil Stolen From Fairfield McDonald's: Police

Several McDonald's restaurants in the area were targeted, including locations in Fairfield, Westport and Norwalk, police said.

FAIRFIELD, CT — About 400 gallons of cooking oil were stolen Friday from a Fairfield McDonald's, according to police.

The incident happened about 5:30 a.m. at the restaurant at 536 Post Road, police said, adding that the manager of the eatery reported that a white box truck occupied by two people had pulled up to the business and extracted the oil, worth about $400.

The pair were at the restaurant roughly 30 minutes, according to police, who noted the manager reported several McDonald's locations in the area, including Westport and Norwalk, were also targeted.
