$50,000 Winning CT Lottery Ticket Sold In Fairfield

The lucky Powerball ticket was sold to a Milford resident, according to the Connecticut Lottery.

FAIRFIELD, CT — A Milford resident is $50,000 richer this month after claiming a winning Powerball lottery ticket he purchased in Fairfield, the Connecticut Lottery announced.

On Friday, Kenneth Procino claimed the winning ticket he purchased at Jays Mobil Mart on Stratfield Road.

To win $50,000, Procino had to match four numbers and the Powerball. The odds of doing so are 1 in 913,129, according to lottery officials.

Winning a Powerball jackpot requires matching five numbers and the Powerball, the odds for which are 1 in 292,201,338. Match five numbers but not the Powerball pays a $1 million prize, and the odds of doing that are 1 in 11,688,054.
