6 Hospitalized In Head-On Crash In Fairfield
Several people suffered serious injuries in the crash on Saturday afternoon, according to police.

FAIRFIELD, CT — Six people were hospitalized with serious injuries after a head-on crash on Black Rock Turnpike Saturday afternoon in Fairfield, according to police. At about 4:10 p.m. on Feb. 10, Fairfield Police responded to a crash at 4680 Black Rock Turnpike, according to Lt. Robert Kalamaras.
Kalamaras said preliminary investigation revealed that Murat Doganaksoy, 48, of Weston, was traveling northbound on Black Rock Turnpike with a passenger and collided head-on into another vehicle that was operated by Nicole Demattia, 37, of Fairfield, with three passengers.
The occupants of both vehicles were transported to St. Vincent’s Medical Center for non-life threatening but serious injuries, according to Kalamaras.
