Actor Granted Accelerated Rehab In Fairfield Animal Cruelty Case: Report
The actor was accused of leaving his dog in a hot car over the summer in Fairfield.
FAIRFIELD, CT — A two-time Tony Award nominated Broadway actor was granted accelerated rehabilitation this week in connection with an animal cruelty case in Fairfield over the summer, according to the Connecticut Post.
The Post reports David Pittu was accused of leaving his cocker spaniel unattended in a locked car, which had a temperature reading of 117 degrees inside, at Shoprite on Black Rock Turnpike in Fairfield on Aug. 22.
Pittu, who was ordered to perform 25 hours of community service at an animal shelter, could have the animal cruelty charge against him dropped if he doesn’t commit any crimes during the two-year probation period, according to the Post.
