FAIRFIELD, CT — A Fairfield business welcomed an unexpected celebrity guest Monday when Adam Sandler stopped in at Fred 06825.
The comedy star came by about 3 p.m. to purchase some food in preparation for the Yom Kippur break-fast, according to owner Fred Kaskowitz.
“I was almost sure it was him … then he opened his mouth,” Kaskowitz said, adding he could tell the customer was Sandler from his voice.

Sandler, who wore casual attire and a face mask, posed for photos with the staff, although he was careful to maintain social distancing, according to Kaskowitz.
“It was just so nice,” said Kaskowitz, who noted employee Marisol Ballejo was particularly starstruck and excited to get a picture with Sandler.
