Norman H. Jacobson, 91, died Apr. 5, 2026; born Oct. 28, 1934 to Herbert and Winnie Slone Jacobson, he graduated from Texas A&M, served in the U.S. Army, and built a long career with Byrne Inc., overseeing construction projects across North Central Texas.

A skilled and curious maker, he enjoyed art and camping and spent years crafting items from manuals—including a winter jacket, table, guitar, television, and computer—while also raising his son, Eric, with his wife, Sue.

Sally Stevens Rowe, 99, died Apr. 14, 2026; she was the wife of the late William Cardyn Rowe and had worked at the Bullard Company’s corporate office, later assisting with operations at Tunxis Hill Pharmacy and working for a time at Lupe’s Drug Store after helping raise five children.

A graduate of Bassick High School and a lifelong area resident, she was the daughter of Robert and Marian (Jennings) Baird and enjoyed spending time with her family.

Maureen Rose Morello, 78, passed away Apr. 9, 2026; she worked at J&P Coats in the bias-binding office and later at Society for Savings and The Hartford Insurance Group, and was known for her cooking, sewing, knitting/crocheting, avid reading, trivia prowess, and enthusiasm for travel and technology.

She was married to Nicholas Morello for 54 years and enjoyed planning trips (including Tahiti, Alaska, Australia, New Zealand, Europe, and the Panama Canal), collecting vinyl—especially Elvis—hosting gatherings, and spending time with her grandchildren, whom she entertained with crafts, Disney-themed rooms, and park visits.

Edith Zambo, 89, passed away on Apr. 6, 2026; she was the wife of Steven Zambo, a Hungarian-born immigrant who built her life in the United States and was active in her church.

She enjoyed crafting and art, sharing jokes and stories, and reminiscing about her early years in Hungary while spending time with her family.

Michael William Kiyak, 91, husband of the late Nancy Doris Ward Kiyak, died on Apr. 18, 2026.

An engineer who worked on government contracts including the Hubbell Telescope at PerkinElmer and at Norden Systems, he was a U.S. Air Force veteran who enjoyed animals, especially dogs, and traveling to Antigua and Hawaii with his wife.

Stuart M. Levine, age 88, passed away on Apr. 13, 2026; born Feb. 9, 1938, he was a construction litigator and name partner at Sacks, Montgomery, Pastore & Levine, later serving as President of Advanced Delivery Systems while maintaining a part-time law practice.

An English major at Princeton University and moot court champion at the University of Pennsylvania Law School, he was an avid sports participant and fan—rowing crew, running marathons, playing tennis, skating, and attending hockey games—known for his wit, humor, and love of language and puns.

Lois Mary (Jackson) Fiske, 101, died Apr. 10, 2026; a career educator, she taught history and English for 30 years in New Jersey schools after earning degrees from Douglas College and Columbia University.

She was active in church and community groups, enjoyed singing in her youth, playing bridge, hosting gatherings, spending summers at the beach, and reading—especially works by Agatha Christie and Beatrix Potter—and was predeceased by her husband George Samuel Fiske and daughter Nancy Ellen Fiske.
