Fairfield, CT - May 26, 2026, It is with great excitement and determination that I announce my candidacy for State Representative for Connecticut’s 134th District. Connecticut has been my home for nearly 27 years, and I have proudly lived in the 134th District since 2009. During that time, our state has experienced many challenges and changes - some positive, others more difficult. Together, we have endured hurricanes, blizzards, economic downturns, inflation, and a pandemic. Through it all, the people of Connecticut have always shown resilience, practicality, and a willingness to work together.

Like many of you, for years I was focused on building a career, supporting my family, and contributing to my community. I didn’t spend much time thinking about politics in Hartford. But over time, I’ve grown increasingly concerned that state government has become disconnected from the everyday challenges facing Connecticut residents. Too often, common sense and practical problem-solving are being replaced by partisan politics and ideological division.

I am a recently retired financial services professional who spent more than four decades working hard to provide for my family and help others do the same. I’m not a career politician, nor do I intend to become one. I simply believe that Connecticut can do better, and I want to bring my real-world experience, practical perspective, and willingness to listen to Hartford. If you have ideas to improve our state and our communities, I want to hear them.

Far too much of today’s political conversation revolves around national politics and personalities. But the issues affecting families in Trumbull and Fairfield are local and immediate. Connecticut’s affordability challenges, rising costs, concerns about public safety, and frustration over state mandates did not begin overnight, and they won’t be solved through division or finger-pointing. We need leaders willing to focus on Connecticut first.

I believe we must make Connecticut more affordable for seniors, working families, homeowners, and young people hoping to build a future here. That means supporting thoughtful property tax reform, reducing unnecessary tax burdens, and creating an environment where people can succeed and stay in our state.

I also believe local communities deserve a stronger voice in decisions that directly impact them. Trumbull and Fairfield should continue to have meaningful input over zoning and development decisions so that growth happens responsibly and in ways that reflect the character and priorities of each town.

Public safety must remain a priority. Our police officers and first responders deserve support, respect, and the resources necessary to keep our communities safe. I also believe we should continue working cooperatively across all levels of law enforcement to protect our neighborhoods and ensure that all residents feel secure in their homes, schools, and houses of worship.

Connecticut should also be a place where businesses want to invest, grow, and create jobs. Too many families worry that their children and grandchildren will need to leave the state to find opportunity. We can change that by creating a more competitive economic environment, encouraging investment, and supporting the kinds of good-paying jobs that allow families to thrive.

At the end of the day, this campaign is not about political parties or national debates. It is about making life better here in Connecticut - for our families, our communities, and future generations.

If you agree with all, most, or even some of what I’ve shared, I respectfully ask for your support and your vote this fall. Positive change will only happen when everyday people step forward, get involved, and work together to make it happen.
