FAIRFIELD, CT — Black Rock Theater is thrilled to announce its upcoming production of the iconic Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice rock opera Jesus Christ Superstar, performing June 5 through June 7 at Fairfield Theatre Company's StageOne in Fairfield, Connecticut. This electrifying production features a professional cast and a full live orchestra, promising audiences an unforgettable theatrical experience.
First performed in 1971, Jesus Christ Superstar tells the final weeks of Jesus of Nazareth's life through the eyes of Judas Iscariot, set against a timeless rock score. With its powerful music, dramatic storytelling, and profound themes of faith, betrayal, and sacrifice, the show has captivated audiences around the world for over five decades.

Ethan Horbury (Jesus), Shannon McCarthy (Judas), Natalie Biebel (Mary), and Jim Nassef (Pilate) lead the production, with ensemble members Madelynn Taylor, Korey Rainey, Levi Randolph, Sebastian Gates-Graceson, Colin Nye, George Maillis, Jaxon McKay, Jaylin Sky, Ava Martin, and Annabelle Woodard rounding out the cast.
The production is directed and choreographed by Kelly O’Neill, with music direction by Ben Doyle. The design team includes Ryan Howell (Scenic Design), Ava Greer (Costume Design),
Katie Whittemore (Lighting Design), and Greg Poore (Sound Design). Connor Deane serves as Executive Producer.
