FAIRFIELD, CT — Cingari Family Markets will mark the completion of renovations at its ShopRite of Fairfield with a ribbon-cutting ceremony Sept. 15 at 10 a.m.
The supermarket is located at 1975 Black Rock Turnpike.
Fairfield First Selectman Christine Vitale and members of the Fairfield Chamber of Commerce are expected to join Cingari Family Markets' leadership team at the event.
The Fairfield ShopRite remained open throughout the renovation. Changes include additional grocery aisles and expanded selections of dry goods, international specialties and health-focused products.
The store also has a larger bakery and floral department, more grab-and-go meal options, an expanded international cheese section and additional frozen food and dairy cases.
"A store renovation is really about listening to your customers and adapting to how they shop today," Cingari Family Markets President and CEO Thomas Cingari Sr. said in a statement. "Our Fairfield customers told us they wanted more selection, more fresh and convenient options, and an easier shopping experience, and we've worked to deliver that. We're proud of the result and excited to invite the community back in to explore the new store."
The renovation is part of Cingari Family Markets' efforts to update its stores in response to customer needs across southwestern Connecticut.
