Vote for Jennifer Leper

To the Editor,

I want to share with you why I am supporting Jennifer Leeper for re-election to the Connecticut House of Representatives to represent the 132nd District and why I think you should, too.

As a parent and resident of Fairfield, I have had the opportunity to get to know Jenn over the last few years. She has been a strong and vocal advocate for Fairfield's children and families in various capacities. She has been a fierce advocate of children's wellbeing; whether it is fighting for stricter rules on motorized/e-bicycles, common sense reforms to our schools' crisis response drills, advocating for taking back our children's learning from screens and "edtech" to focus on physical books, writing, and relationships, Jenn is always out in front fighting for the next generation.

Last year, I reached out to Jennifer with only a few days' notice and asked if she would attend a Boy Scout meeting for my son's den who were working toward their Citizenship merit badge. She not only rearranged her schedule, but she showed up with great enthusiasm ready to engage with these bright young minds and teach them the value of democracy. She happily answered several questions from the parents as well. You can tell by the way Jenn intently listens to our kids that she genuinely feels the weight of preparing the world for them to inherit. Our kids are lucky to have a champion for their futures as the Chair of the Education Committee in the legislature.

On a personal note, I find Jenn's warmth and compassion truly genuine. She always has a smile on and is one of the most positive people I know. I've seen her positive enthusiasm come through in her campaigning as well. Jennifer is the right choice for Fairfield. I will be voting for her on Election Day and I hope you will, too.
