FAIRFIELD, CT — Three residents of a Fairfield apartment building were displaced Saturday by a fire.

Emergency personnel were alerted about 9:15 p.m. of the blaze at a four-unit residential building on Shoreham Terrace, according to Assistant Chief Erik Kalapir.

When firefighters arrived, they saw flames coming from a window and extinguished the blaze, Kalapir said. The apartment where the fire originated was unoccupied at the time of the incident and no one was injured, but three residents were displaced for the night due to smoke and water damage to two of the units, according to Kalapir, who said the American Red Cross was available to assist.
