Monday, Aug. 9
Overnight, 5000 block of Park Avenue: Car stolen overnight, sometime around 10 p.m., under investigation.
Overnight, Stevenson Road: Car stolen overnight, under investigation.

500 block of Kings Highway Cutoff: Several power tools shoplifted, under investigation.
200 block of Stillson Road: Vacant house spray painted, under investigation.

8:56 p.m., Post Road: 43-year-old man charged with driving under the influence, reckless driving, failure to obey an officer's signal and traveling unreasonably fast in a construction zone, police said. The man drove into a work zone and fled when told to turn his vehicle off, nearly striking an officer, according to police.
Tuesday, Aug. 10
11:08 a.m., Sasco Beach: Burglary, guard shack broken into.
2:58 p.m., 500 block of Kings Highway Cutoff: Power ratchet worth $150 stolen, shoplifter left in red SUV, under investigation.
3:18 p.m., 500 block of Kings Highway Cutoff: Drill worth $279 stolen, retrieved by loss prevention, 42-year-old man charged with sixth-degree larceny and released on $1,000 bond, police said.
5:38 p.m., Light House Point: Black bag or pillowcase reported on path to beach; found to contain chickens, cut up vegetables and loose change; likely a religious offering, according to police. Contents disposed of.
